What´s up, mrs.w ?

“You ask me about shape, color, perspective? Do I make an effort, do I find something, do I invent something and you ask me – for whom?” In addition to my artistic work, I am researching in art actions since 2007 for an intermediate state of art, society and political will in order to bring people into personal dialogue with one another and to stimulate unexpected connections that explore how we can initiate social changes and develop them further. My projects run over many years and are based on anthropological universals such as clothing, work or sleep (see Projects). Of course, my tireless actions stand in irreconcilable contradiction to the slowness of change, but we can dream…

Für mein Projekt THE SOCIAL SLEEP WORK schickt mir bitte ein Foto Eures Schlafplatzes. Mal sehen, was passiert.

What can we really do to counter this madness in Ukraine and elsewhere in the world? Like setting an example for peace, for change, for the fact that together we can form a powerful force of transformation even without words, without nations, without religion, without money, without fight – just by posting a photo of our beds? For my project THE SOCIAL SLEEP WORK please send me a foto of your sleeping place. It might be a sleeping area, an outdoor place, a dormitory, a luxury bed, a sleeping bunk, a camp bed. The photos are shown anonymously without any comment on facebook and instagram. Maybe we can change the world while sleeping? Let’s see what happens, let’s do it together, may the night be with us! More on this…

setting an example with art on rare disease day

More awareness of rare diseases and set an example with “Art moves”! Around four million people in Germany suffer from a rare disease and many patients have been looking for the right diagnosis and appropriate therapy for years. In order to draw attention to the fate of these people, I will hold a painting workshop for the “Art moves” campaign on Monday, February 28th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dorothea-Schlegel-Platz in front of the Friedrichstraße train station. Everyone is invited to participate! The campaign is supported by numerous specialists and the company AOP Health.
